"Aydın Doğan Award" which is held by the Aydın Doğan Foundation to reward successful people in the fields of culture, art, literature, and science and is accepted as one of the most reputable awards in Turkey was granted to the ceramic artist Alev Ebüzziya in the award ceremony organized on Wednesday, November 2 this year.

It was decided to grant this year’s Aydın Doğan Award which has been presented annually by the Aydın Doğan Foundation since 1996 to recognize individuals and institutions praised in different fields such as culture, arts, literature, and science on national and international platforms, to the esteemed ceramic artist Alev Ebüzziya who has been creating works in the field of “Ceramic Art” for 60 years.

This year's International Day of the Girl Child Conference, organized in Istanbul for the eighth time by UNICEF, UNFPA, and UN Women in collaboration with the Aydın Doğan Foundation presented stories of the successful women who went great guns, the social influencers and activists and the young girls and women who challenged the status quo despite all the challenges they faced.

The Aydın Doğan Award, which is given annually by the Aydın Doğan Foundation to individuals or institutions that have achieved success on national and international platforms in different fields such as science, culture, literature and art, was presented to Dr. Özlem Türeci and Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin, the scientists who developed the first Covid-19 vaccine in the world, at a ceremony held in Mainz, Germany on November 30.
