Aydın Doğan Foundation has granted the Aydın Doğan Fine Arts High School, one of the first Fine Arts High Schools to be granted ‘project school’ status, a special hall where students can stage their performances.

The Aydın Doğan Foundation once again hosted successful female students and teachers, staying in dormitories built under the ‘Daddy Send Me to School’ campaign, in Istanbul as a part of the ‘Success Takes Me to Istanbul’ trip. The students celebrated the 23rd April National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Istanbul, and an award ceremony was held at Doğan Holding.

Aydın Doğan Foundation was awarded 700,000 Euros from the European Union for its ‘Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures’ project, which aims to promote equal opportunities for disadvantaged girls, empower them with active citizenship and leadership skills, and build the capacities of civil society organisations that are working to achieve these goals.

The 27th Aydın Doğan Award is presented to the Antakya Choir of Civilizations which reminded us that music is a universal language and introduced to the world the centuries-old history of Hatay and Antakya, cultural richness and tolerance among civilisations through more than 2,000 concerts they performed in Türkiye and abroad.

The awards of the competition known as the "Oscars of Cartoon" were presented to winning artists with a ceremony held at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus. During the event the scope of the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition was expanded and the "National Graphic Novel Award" and "National Children's Book Illustration Award", which has been ongoing since its 35th year, were also handed to their winners.

The thirty-ninth edition of the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition, which has brought together more than 9,000 artists and their works from all over the world, and for which we are preparing to celebrate the fortieth anniversary, has been concluded with the evaluation meeting held by the international jury.

The International Day of the Girl Child Conference, which has been organized in Türkiye in cooperation with UNICEF, UNFPA, UN Women, and Aydın Doğan Foundation since 2015, was held this year in Hatay, one of the cities that were most severely affected by the February 6 earthquake, to highlight the transformative role of girls and young women in rebuilding life and cities. The needs and wishes of girls and young women were conveyed from Hatay to Türkiye and the world through the conference organized with the theme 'Girls Rebuilding the Future'.

The Summer Camp for Young Leaders, traditionally organized by Aydın Doğan Foundation since 2017, takes place in Kuşadası between 30th July and 5th August this year. As candidates for becoming leaders of the future, young girls participate in leadership, project development, and personal development trainings, enjoying a pleasant time through art workshops and sports activities.
