Aydın Doğan Foundation Prepares Young Women Leaders for the Future through the “Empowered Girls, Empowered Future” Project

Aydın Doğan Foundation successfully completed the 2026 edition of its Young Leaders Summer Camps, organised as part of the “Empowered Girls, Empowered Future” project with the support of the European Union, through six separate camps held in Marmaris. A total of 166 young women participated in the camps held between 15 June and 30 July 2026. Meanwhile, 12 micro-grant projects launched following last year’s camps reached 726 children across seven cities. With a target of reaching 300 young women through a total of 12 camps, the Foundation will continue to provide micro-grant funding and mentoring support this year for social responsibility projects developed by young women.

Micro-Grant and Mentorship Program

As the Aydın Doğan Foundation, we have long been implementing initiatives aimed at empowering girls and helping them develop leadership skills, while promoting equal opportunities so they can fully realize their potential. Through the projects we carry out under the banner Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” we seek to support girls in acquiring active citizenship skills, continuing our work through scholarship programs, leadership camps, social responsibility projects, and educational activities.

Aydın Doğan Foundation Marks International Day of the Girl Child with Conference Empowering Girls’ Leadership

The Aydın Doğan Foundation celebrated International Day of the Girl Child with a conference centered on the theme “Girls’ Leadership and the Power of Volunteering.” The event featured distinguished speakers, including Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, Chair of the Aydın Doğan Foundation Board of Directors, Paolo Marchi, UNICEF Türkiye Representative, Maryse Guimond, UN Women Türkiye Country Director, and Mariam A. Khan, UNFPA Türkiye Representative. Throughout the conference, speakers highlighted how girls can become catalysts for social change through volunteerism, emphasizing the importance of visibility for girls not only as beneficiaries but as leaders creating societal impact.

Awards of the World’s Most Prestigious Cartoon Competition Presented in Istanbul

The Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition, regarded as one of the most prestigious events in the world of cartoon art, celebrated its 40th edition this year. Organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation, the awards ceremony took place in Istanbul with the participation of jury members, Foundation Board members, and the winning artists.

Youth Workshop

On 22–23 September, the Aydın Doğan Foundation, in collaboration with UNICEF, hosted a Youth Workshop at the Doğan Holding headquarters. The event brought together 48 high school and university students.

“Training of Trainers” Program Successfully Completed Through the Cooperation of the Aydın Doğan Foundation and the EU

Through the Aydın Doğan Foundation’s “Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” project, 60 civil society representatives received training on gender equality. They will now expand the impact of this knowledge by delivering multiplier trainings, helping create a ripple effect for change.

Aydın Doğan Foundation Brings Together Young Women from Across Türkiye at the Young Leaders Summer Camp

Aydın Doğan Foundation successfully completed the first Young Leaders Summer Camp under the “Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” project, implemented with the support of the European Union, between 21–26 June 2025 in Kuşadası.
