Within the scope of the “Success Takes Us to Istanbul” program, the Aydın Doğan Foundation hosted 30 successful young women students and their teachers in Istanbul. Between May 19–23, 2025, the students visited universities as well as historical and cultural sites of Istanbul.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary and having brought together over 9,000 artists and their works from across the globe, the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition announced its winners following the deliberations of the international jury.

The awards of the 34th Turkish Journalists’ Association Aydın Doğan Young Communicators Competition, celebrating the achievements of emerging media professionals, have been presented to their recipients. In the competition, where a distinguished jury composed of leading journalists, media executives, and academics conducted a meticulous evaluation process, outstanding projects in print, visual, audio, and digital media categories were recognized and awarded.

The 28th Aydın Doğan Award, presented this year by the Aydın Doğan Foundation, has been awarded to İoanna Kuçuradi in recognition of her outstanding contributions to philosophy and human rights, and for her enduring role in bringing Türkiye’s name to prominence within the international cultural and philosophical community.

On 11th October, in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the Aydın Doğan Foundation hosted the “Girls and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities & Responsibilities” conference at the newly opened Sema Doğan Concert and Exhibition Hall, located within the Aydın Doğan Fine Arts High School.

As part of the “Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” project, implemented by Aydın Doğan Foundation and funded by the European Union, the “Gender Equality Stakeholder Workshop” was held with the participation of around 80 representatives from public institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations focusing on gender equality and related issues.

The Aydın Doğan Foundation has published a Needs Assessment Report prepared within the framework of the “Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” project, implemented under the European Union-funded Grant Program for Supporting Rights-Based Civil Society Organizations Working in the Field of Social Inclusion and Youth. The report aims to comprehensively examine the empowerment processes of young women and girls in Türkiye and to identify the challenges and opportunities they encounter in areas such as gender equality, economic, social and political empowerment, and leadership.
