FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ has always been interested in implementing new projects throughout her career. In 1990 when working with Milpa, she brought the Quelle sales company over to Turkey, from the German catalogue and managed the company until 1993. She was a part of the initiation of Alternatifbank in 1994 and served as a Member of the Board of Directors there. A year later, she became the Financial Affairs Officer of the Milliyet Publishing Group. She joined Kanal D (Channel D) management in 1996 and took over the responsibility of various departments.


One of her most important successes was CNN Türk starting broadcasting in 2000 as a result of the negotiations she started with Time Warner Group in 1999. In 2005, she became the CEO of Doğan TV Holding, which oversees Kanal D, CNN Türk, DMC, D Yapım, D-Smart satellite platform, and the group's radios.


In 2007, she became the first woman to be elected as the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors in the 40-year history of TÜSİAD, the country's leading business people organization. After serving in this position until 2010, she continued her work as a member of the TÜSİAD Council of Presidents. Yalçındağ currently serves as the Vice President of the TÜSİAD Advisory Council.


After leaving the chairwoman position of TÜSİAD, she took over the chairwomanship of Doğan Holding from her father, the founder; and started the second generation leaders period in the company.


Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ is among the founding members of the Aydın Doğan Foundation, which was established in 1996. Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ served as the President of the Foundation between 2010-2011. Former President of Turkey Abdullah Gül, when he was serving as the Foreign Minister, appointed Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ as the honorary ambassador of Turkey, for the EU, and with this title, she started the "Turkey's Women's Initiative for EU membership". She was selected as the Young Global Executive by the World Economic Forum. She was one of the founding members of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER). She has worked on the Board of Directors of Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV). She was one of the founding members of the Turkish-American Businessmen Association (TABA) and has served on the board of directors.


Yalcındağ, one of the founders of the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey, was also among the founders of the Istanbul Modern Museum in January 2004 and currently works as a Board Member. She is a Vodafone Turkey Foundation Advisory Board Member and continues to be an American Turkish Society Committee Member. Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, who served on the international advisory board of Expo 2015 Milan, was awarded the Commander of the Italian Republic (Commendatore dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia) in 2009. She is a Member of the Media, Entertainment and Information (MEI) Executive Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF), a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Paley Center for Media, and a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences.
