The Refugee Exhibition is still available for art lovers at the Press Museum

Due to considerable public interest, the collection of cartoons concerning the plight of refugees submitted to the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation for the past 32 years will be available for viewing at the Press Museum, as of Monday, November 2, 2015 between 09:00 and 18:00 daily following the Gallery Işık exhibition.

The exhibition entitled Refugees On a Long and Narrow Road that opened at Gallery Işık in Teşvikiye on October 13, 2015 will continue at the Press Museum as of November 2, 2015 due to the considerable interest it has received so far.

The Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation has hosted hundreds of cartoonists from tens of countries since 1983, with awards finding their recipients after a selection committee of esteemed international cartoonists has evaluated the submitted artworks. Itself the root source of many other social problems, the biggest issue of recent years has been the “Refugee problem”...

The Aydın Doğan Foundation, always aiming at a better, and more humane world in its social responsibility projects, prepared the exhibition entitled “Refugees On a Long and Narrow Road” consisting of works selected from the more than 80,000 cartoons in its archive, in order to draw attention to different aspects of the refugee issue. The exhibition includes cartoons by 37 artists from 16 countries, and will be available for viewing until November 13, 2015.
