The Daddy, Send Me to School Campaign

As the Aydın Doğan Foundation, we have played our part in this journey first by having 5 female dormitories built, and now by working hard for our girls through the name and philosophy of BBOG by diversifying our work even further, under the roof of the Aydın Doğan Foundation.

The “Daddy, Send Me to School” (BBOG) campaign was introduced by Doğan Journalism on April 23, 2005 to ensure that every girl at each corner of Turkey can benefit from educational opportunities. The campaign was put into practice through the President of the Aydın Doğan Foundation and the Honorary President of Doğan Journalism Hanzade Doğan Boyner’s thought leadership, and has supported numerous girls in their struggle to become equipped and productive individuals to this day.

The “Daddy, Send Me to School” Campaign, whose main objective is to spread the education mobilization throughout Turkey and make sure that every girl goes to school, has been designed and applied as a three dimensional project including financial aids and activities towards developing social awareness and removing structural problems.

The “Daddy, Send Me to School” Campaign is one of Turkey’s largest social responsibility projects with more than 300,000 supporters, in light of the awards it has received and for the resources in excess of 35 million TL provided for the education of girls.
