M. Erol Çamur was born in Arguvan district of Malatya in 1966. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Ankara, he completed Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1986. He started his professional career as a Tax Inspector in the Ministry of Finance, Tax Inspectors Board between 1986-1995. Working as a manager in the private sector between 1995-2000, Çamur assumed the financial coordination of various group companies in Doğan Group, where he started working in 2000. He still works as a Board Member and Financial Affairs Coordinator of many companies within the Doğan Group.
